EXHIBITION IN A CHAPEL – BELLCAIRE – COSTA BRAVA – SPAIN 2021

This exhibition was designed following an approach to the building itself and its architecture. My initial intend was to display the sculpture in the middle and paintings all around, with a simple composition, and a combination of dark red and grey colours. Then, two weeks prior to the opening, playing with some discarded metal materials from other sculptures, I made very simple compositions with the metal sheets, spray painted on the opposite side. The reflexions on the surface were giving a subtle, very sensitive feeling of light, which worked very well in my studio. Then I continued these experiments, and at the same time made the large painting of the middle background. When I finally displayed the works in the chapel, it all worked very well as an ensemble. It had strengh, light, mystery. The small ones are better with natural light, but they still gave a feeling of process that I liked.

EXHIBITION AT STUDIO KURA – ITOSHIMA, JAPAN – SUMMER 2019

For this exhibition I stayed as a resident artist at Studio Kura for 21 days. The Residency allowed me to stay in a shared house with a cute little studio just for myself. As I had very little days and could only paint for 10 days, I decided to only use wood and paper. I worked many hours every day and ideas came along. In my spare time I enjoyed long walks by the countryside or the coast, this area beeing very rural and beautiful.

The humidity allowed me to use watercolours in a way that I can not use in Spain, giving a unique texture to them. The ones that I discarded were reused and some cut to make 3d paintings with a wood background inspired by the colour of local temples (and crabs).

EXHIBITION AT EAST VILLAGE ART VIEW – NEW YORK – SUMMER 2019

In this case I was asked to do one work with the theme 1 $ bill, that had been an intervention already done in the 80s in New York by artists such as Andy Warhol and Keith Haring. I did something I am not used to do that related to immigrants in the US, the sort of prison Trump wanted to build and the mirror that gave a reflection to the other side.

EXHIBITION IN A MEDIEVAL HOUSE IN EMPORDA, SPAIN

In 2017-18 I made an exhibition in my home. The work stated with a research on grays, which became silver with paint on my acrylic works. While working on drafts of a sculpture representing the Brooklyn Bridge, I came up with this idea of using real metal instead of silver paint. This was the start of my Reflexion series, that I still continue today, alterning with different types of works.

EXHIBITION IN SANT JORDI DESVALLS, SPAIN 2016 – 2017

These paintings are a research on structure and light, but with a very defined and intended composition. I was trying to make very balanced composition in relation to balance of colours.

EXHIBITION AT RECTORIA VELLA – BARCELONA SANT CELONI, SPAIN – RETROSPECTIVE

I was asked to exhibit in this marvellous space that has several areas, and because it had been a long time since my last exhibition I decided to show 4 different periods of the years before.

Permanent exhibition at Daichi Life building. TAKENAKA ARCHITECTS, Sendai, Japan
